Now We're Getting Somewhere

'See You In Hell'

BIOGRAPHY

Melbourne's suburban ska all-stars The Resignators, never knew back in 2005 that their infectious sound and trend defying style would take them around the world. As one of Australia's hardest working independent bands, The Resignators have seen it all, playing over 400 shows both nationally and internationally. This road hardened sextet know how to get any room of people on their feet and skanking to their Ska infused beats.

2006 saw the Resignators enter the recording studio with producer Stuart Stuart (Veronicas/Small Mercies) in Bris-vegas. Thus the five track EP 'Offbeat Feeling' (Sony BMG) set the standard for the bands catchy song writing and eclectic sound. Borrowing hooks and rhythms from a variety of musics sub-culture genres.

But it hasn't been all cider and skanking for the Resignators. Mid 2008 saw the band deported from London's Heathrow airport in a tale that is now a part of rock 'n roll folk lore. Missing out on a UK tour and an appearance at Czech-republic's Mighty Sounds Festival. Despite this, the band soldiered on past adversity and returned home to continue honing their craft and building their Australian network of fans.

2009 brought new hope for the band with an invite to join the cream of Australian artists, representing the nation at South by South West, in Austin, Texas. This amazing opportunity happened to coincide with The band releasing 'Offbeat time' (Stomp), a combination of both the Resignators debut album and EP for North American audiences though Montreal based Stomp records. These two enormous milestones for the band meant one thing; An epic tour through Canada and USA. Armed with nothing but a 'she'll be right mate' attitude and a 'punch in the face' live show, the Resignators set out to Vancouver. They bought a van and drove it across the Canadian ice and snow, down to Texas and then back up to Montreal, playing over 40 shows across the 2 nations.

With new friends and fans in North America, 2010 saw a return to Canada for the Resignators. Recording their anticipated second full length album
'See You In Hell' with producer Alex Gigure (One night band, The Beatdown) in Montreal, as well as a full national tour.

November 5th 2010 will see the Resignators releasing 'See You In Hell' and 'touring the $@#! out of it' to Australian audiences. With a new string of hits ready for release 'See You In Hell' is destined to be the hit album of summer.
