Ouzo the band is the Athens / London based electro pop alternative duo (+), of Kari Da Kiss (composition, voice, electronics, guitar) and Naria (voice).

Reborn in 2001 after the split of their former band, Ouzo the band 'positioned' their Laptop as a 3rd member, and from then on, make powerful, sophisticated, surprising, alternative pop. Several other musicians join Ouzo the band from time to time, and accompany them on their live appearances.

Their music is a true synthesis of elements, blending modern sampling and synthesizer work, with a fine sense of harmonies, outstanding rhythms, ultra cool guitars, extraordinary vocal skills and musical knowledge combined with ...a great sense of humor!

Ouzo the band's sound is multiple and could be described as a mixture between 80's electronic, free Cabaret style and up to date alternative attitude.

They can at other times be compared to the groups, The B52's, Eurythmics, The Scissor Sisters, Depeche Mode, The Voodoo Club, Blondie etc. or in their Chill out/Contemporary projects to the works of José Padilla, Dead Can Dance, Cafe Del Mar etc.

 They've used their native language (Greek), in their Cds 'Romantic Empire' which was made up of their earlier compositions, 'Ta ElectroLaika' where they took some old popular Greek songs and turned then up side down,

but their CDs 'Psychedelic Summer' and 'Psychedelic Autumn are multi - instrumental, chill out CDs which have no lyrics.

'No Sirtaki Dance' is also an instrumental minimal dance CD that has, as the title implies, no relation to (the Greek rythm and dance) Sirtaki!

Their 'homonymus' Ouzo the band Double CD is a mixture of all their styles of liking, and includes songs in English lyrics mostly (but also sometimes use lyrics in other languages like Spanish, Italian or French).

Beginning their mission (to astonish the world), in 2004, Ouzo the band traveled trough many clubs in Greece, then via Italy to Luxembourg, Germany and Holland, ending up in the UK where they shooked up their British audience!

Their song 'TV Lovers' was a notable success in numerous radios around the world and the video clip of the song even made it (among other TV stations, such as NRK), to MTV Europe and Brazil.

Apart from the music, which is the main element of their work, Ouzo the band expand their talent in other artistic areas as well.

They make their own videoclips and have also made a few attempts to their first movie which will eventually form up in the near future.

They designed, produced and hosted two different musical TV shows in Greece, and last but not least make Video Art projects many of which have been awarded and screened around the world (Platforma 04, BAC 05, Belle Arte 06, etc.).

Ouzo the band record and release their music and art projects from their pro - home studio, then spread their tunes across the globe on the net and sum up, by touring the whole of Europe and beyond...
